Frequently asked

Questions parents often ask.

Don't see yours? Email us — we reply personally.

Email a question →
My child only speaks a little French — is the school right for us?
Our pupils come from bilingual or French-speaking households, or have lived in / been schooled in a francophone country. We assess every child during a trial session to find the right level — confident comprehension and basic spoken French is the starting point. If you're unsure, get in touch.
How do I book a trial session?
Use the enrolment form below or email ecoletricolore@gmail.com. We'll confirm a date, take payment for the trial fee in advance, and tell you what to bring.
Can my children join both Saturday and Wednesday programmes?
Yes. The Wednesday Club works well as extra teaching for primary-age children alongside the Saturday school. Sibling discounts apply to the Saturday programme.
Do you teach the French national curriculum?
We're a FLAM-network school — we focus on language and francophone culture rather than replicating a full school week. Our teaching is informed by the French curriculum but adapted for children growing up in the UK system.
Can I visit the school before signing up?
Visits during term time are by appointment only — please contact the headteachers Sezer or Eugénie to arrange. The trial session itself is the best way to get a feel for us.
